Problem was the tacho but if its not broken it can be cleaned and fixed. I can be wrong but the 33 has a mechanical gear tran...

speedometer

Hello everybody.
I need an advice: on my 2L TS 1989 the speedometer indicates wrong speed (60 for 80 for example) then it stops and stays at 90 (km/h).
Could it be the sender or the tacho ??????????Thank you.

Re: 1996 Alfa 164 Cloverleaf (I'm back...)

My Supersprint exhaust arrived at my workplace today. It really is new old stock - it has some marks and scratches of course but it's otherwise in very good condition. Would anyone be interested in the exhaust that's currently fitted to the car? It's a Supersprint oval stainless backbox as far as I...

Re: another 164 saved

A Diesel, V6 and now a TS... Nice collection you have there! Looking forward to see it fixed up! Actually I'm working on the 3.0 V6. I'm amazed by the high quality of the materials used in this early 164 from 1988. In my first 1995 TS SUPER and the 2.5 TD SUPER every plastic trim and pins are much ...

If it cuts when warmed up I would suspect crankshaft position sensor. Thanks yes its often this sensor that's OOO.. ..., but when getting warm it cuts at idle. ... Do I understand right that at idle from time to time the revs go down like the engine would die down? That's what I have recognised at ...

164 is indeed addictive! I also like cars with high mileage, that's a testament to this car's quality and reliability. Looks like a nice original car, congratulations! 8) Congratulations 8) I am sure there are many kilometers left in that car, happy motoring and enjoy the sound. Chapaeu - have fun ...
