Re: 164 Q4 air intake hose

Those Q4 hoses are VERY rare. They are still in the car and nobody can therefore miss it and the only person who does have some spares of them, immediately ships them to Asia for extremely high prices; so no expectations from him either. :( My hose is only a bit torn on the throttlehousing side; fix...

Unfortunately I have to ask a higher price for this repair due to price of the flexcable has doubled. :(
Hopefully it's still not too expensive...

Re: QV Air Flow Meter

Hi all It would appear that the Air Flow Meter on my 164 qv has a dead spot that kicks in at 2500rpm, creating the mother of all stutters and misfires  Ive split the top case to inspect it and attempt a refurbishment but i think i'm pee'ing in the wind to be honest, so has anyone got one of ...

Re: Alfa164Diagnostics

Hello, Sorry if not appropiate but I still have some VAGCOM cable sets for sale to diagnose your Alfa 164 with Wilco's software or MultiECUscan/FiatECUscan. Cable comes with 12v power plug instead of pictured crocodile plugs. Price is 30 euro INCL shipping in Europe (from Holland). http://www.164td....

Re: Does anyone have information about my (Savali?) Q4...

I bought a cheap external gauge set for the oil pressure because the internal meter gone berserk; than it goes to 0 bar, 3 bar, 1 bar... all over the place. Also the red light comes active just as regular so I had to know if I had an actual pressure problem or just, what I already suspected, a probl...

Re: Does anyone have information about my (Savali?) Q4...

I love the 4 exhaust system you have too - it's definitely food for thought, it looks great 8) I had to sacrifice one of the original back mufflers to make space for the piping; the Q4 has two lookalike back mufflers which are hold together with an 180 degrees curved pipe and some welding points. I...

Re: Does anyone have information about my (Savali?) Q4...

Although I don't mind the badge-less look I personally prefer cars to have the correct badges. I did think about going for '164 3.5 Q4' but decided to leave it as intended. Haydn Or you stick the '3.5' on the other side of the hood, like I did with an '24v' emblem. Much more subtle is an original '...

Re: 164 Q4 ABS problem (warning light on)

Great news :) The ABS light should be on when you turn ignition on and should turn off either after a few seconds or when you start the engine. I think it is mentioned in the handbook. Did you read out error codes after putting in your repaired unit? Of course, the ultimate test is if the wheels bl...

Re: hello from south east england

With 21 your are definately (one of) the youngest Alfa 164 drivers out there. I can't tell you how the 2WD 24v drives because I owned 2 TD versions before my Q4 and I drove those diesels not quite as aggressive as I do with the Q4. One thing I know is that the weight difference of more tha...

Re: 164 Q4 ABS problem (warning light on)

Second part is a bit of bad news unfortunately. I cannot solder the relay back into it's base pins. It looks to me through the tight space that it is not soldered in, but rather "welded", from lack of a better term. The soldering wire simply does not want to stick to the relay's legs. I'm still try...

Re: new lcd display

Could be that someone fooled around with relays... I have to agree with Arjen (164 TD) because your problem sounds more and more like an external one. Check the fuse and relay of the boot lock, I guess Arjen can provide you with the right electric schematic. Concering the fuel flap, sounds like som...

Re: new lcd display

Looks nice! :)

Are all 3 working? Looks like the right one is not lit.

Didn't know the Alfa 33 has the same type of bulbs.
If you can remove the green cover from the old bulbs and refit them, you'll have the original color back in your display.

Re: new lcd display

Those bulbs have a specific fitting, maybe you have luck with your local car tuning store; original bulbs are very hard to come by. The bulbs themselves are difficult to replace into the fitting because they're glued inside. The bulbs are 12v/2Watt types and it's possible that new bulbs are polarize...
