You made a good choice with the 146 , it's a pretty car. I had one with the boxer engine.

Re: Alfa 164 TS "QV" and Alfa 164 2.5 TD

Many thanks for the photos and for showing this testimony of love. I do agree, the TS is a fabulous car, one of the bests 4 cylinders engine of all times. Here in France we have the same problems with the salt psychotics serial dealers who are spraying on there poison on the roads during winter mont...

No not yet, lack of money this month.
Next month perhaps I'll send the heads to an officine where they want only 115 E for checking the set.

Re: heads leaks 2.5 TD

The heads indeed had the tendency to crack. I heard that before. Do you see any cracks with a magnifier? No, I don't see nothing, but the cooling net has hidden ducts, so I will give the job to a specialist. :( Problem is the price is X4, 32 euros (YES !) for prove, and X2, 24 euros for cleanning. ...

heads leaks 2.5 TD

Hi, :D
I had bubbles in the cooling system, so I took off the 4 heads, but what a surprise, all the 4 gaskets are in really good state.

My question is, is it possible at 264000km to have head crack so gas leaks into cooling manifold ?

Hi I know this has been covered but I have a 1996 auto that wont turn over at all . I have tried doing several wiring/relay/fuse checks and seems to be ok. I caan only surmise there is an issue with the immobiliser. The 1994 manual I have had a similar issue which was solved using the purple wire t...

Are you an ex pat living in France or do you just have very good English. I ask Out of interest as my partner is French and we lived down the south east for a couple of years but couldn't make it work so came back to England. I actually found the French Alfa dealers more helpful than the English. I...
