Q4: 4WD error

Post by Porto » Tue Apr 23, 2013 3:29 am

For awhile now I have a problem with the 4wd system in my Q4.
It began by activating the errorlight with hard braking or when I suddenly let go of the throttle while heavy accelerating.

Now the bulb often already lits with the slightest braking action.
Do I have to search the error in the 4WD system itself or is the ABS also connected to the 4wd ECU and is maybe one of the sensors the cause?

I have the Ma12A module for the viscomatic, once you're in the area we can hook up the tester and see what's wrong.

Can the brakes lock when braking hard? The 4WD system is using the ABS, so could be a cause for your problem. Putting the test module on is a very good solution :)

First you must check the fluid level in the reservoir.
