Me and my QV

Let us get to know you. (and your 164!)

Me and my QV

Postby Catrin » Wed Mar 15, 2017 12:26 pm

This is my third Alfa 164, which I brought from UK to Austria last year

I previously had two 3 litre 164s in the late 1990s — they were the daily drivers — this one is to keep.

The 24V QV was my 35th anniversary present last year. My husband got an Alfetta, made in Arese in 1980, the year that we met.

Both have had engine rebuilds, though the 164 has only done 83,000 miles. It still needed new subframes but won't see winter road salt here. The Alfetta spent all its life in Turin, so that's fine all round — just the cloth upholstery that is a pale–beige shade of green!

Other Alfas we've had since the conversion from Citroën in late 80s: Giulietta, 145 QV, 147 2 litre Selespeed, 166 3l, 156 SW, GTV 916 (keeping that one too).

Hello,
you habe a nice model, keep it in a good state, you're lucky in your country they don't spray
evil salt on roads that's fine. In France it's awful.

Welcome - it looks like a great 164 and a very nice history you have with Alfa Romeo :)

I hope you find this site useful and of course more photos of your QV are appreciated.

Hello and welcome!

I have seen you posting about this car once or twice on the alfabook Facebook page. Very nice indeed!

Hello and welkome. 164 and 916's is great Pininfarina cars. Enrico Fumia's design, both of them. Probably the tuffest models from Alfa ever. We got both. a '92 164QV and a '98 GTV TB. those are summer cars. and the 166 V6 and 156 V6 is daily driver cars. Post more pictures, please :D
