Alfa 164 - Uno

Let us get to know you. (and your 164!)

Alfa 164 - Uno

Postby Uno » Thu Jan 04, 2018 9:22 pm

Hello community,

The attached picture is my actual Alfa Romeo. This one has driven 370`000km - unfortunately, the mechanic told me that is not recommend to drive it any longer. The car had since a while oil in the coolant, which is not good but not a huge problem. However, the last time the mechanic saw the car he saw whitish, yellowish exhaust fumes and that is a huge problem. Because I would like to keep it. Eventually I would like to overhaul the engine. This is a future project - now I am not skilled enough...
Well this is not the reason for a more active life in the forums. I had the chance to buy the more or less exact same car again. This one has some small defects, which I started to solve. Sonner or later I would like to come back with some questions 
The Nickname I have chosen because my very first car was a Uno Turbo - if you grow up that one leads directly to Alfa (at least in my case).

I wish a happy new year
Uno

Welcome :)

It is always nice to have some projects and a good solution to get another car, while fixing the first one ;) Let us know how it goes.

Welcome UNO
V6 is an easy mechanic to do if you have tools and space, and parts are easy to find too.
4 years ago I exchanged my UNO for A 164

Hello All,

And thank you for your welcome.

Well this car has the 3l 12v engine with 132KW, 2959ccm inside.

Actually the space at home is missing where I could disassemble the engine from the car. And the first time I guess I need some support.

The fiat Uno is still a good car too. I still use one to go to work and back home :-)

Regards Swen
