Yes, that is a bit of a problem but you can do it by uploading your photo to one of many free photo sites. At the moment I am using https://imgur.com/ No need to create an account there if you are using it infrequently; just upload the photo there, it generates a link which you place between [img]LINK[/img] then the uploaded photo will appear in your posting.

Yes that's a go idea I will do it, its nice in paint and the only thing that's has rust is the brake- and viscomatic pipes. The cambelt is full of cracks so new is ordered. Some bushes in the rear is warren out. And the engine looks terrible, so here we need some passion :D . Driver seat is well used :D and some details inside need to be replaced. Better then expexted

The good work is keeping up :shock: , just bear with my English. It's self learned...........
Diff is down, and the gasoline tank is taken out. The diff has some air pipes on top i think, its a T connector witch is warren out.
To morrow i will start search for a company witch can make this visomatic pipes. Anyone know witch connector is used ?
The fuse is removed, any idea how to get new one? Have used goggle but no result...

The fuse ia called a megafuse and it is rated 150A

Brakes and brake line's are finish, 3 liter of break fluid is flushed through. :lol: It's hard to get new hoses and pipes for the viscomatic from servo and to/from pump and diff. So for now its a show stopper. Cam belt, roler and water pump is inside the garage :) . I have blast and cleaned where there was some rust spots, now it's treated and painted.

Bear in mind those are high pressurelines. 200 bar for the viscomatic system...

Is it 200 bar or 109bar? I have seen 109bar . Its a real pine to find anyone to make this hose and pipes. What pressure is it on the servo line to pump

Finally back home after 14 days of work. Straight in to the garage to finish cambelt change. It's plenty of work to get this done. Change the water pump and i have screwed and screwed. I am not impressed with the construction of the water pump :evil: arrangement

Up running, and best of all no leak except hose to idel regulator. On the viscomatic i still scearch for banjo M 10 with the 90 degrees bend and dobbel banjo M14.

First off i would like to congratulate you for your find , a Q4 was always my favorite 8)
Now i would like to ask you for a favor , basically what i need is for you to take a few pictures of the floor where the diff mounts , i need to see are there any differences in a FWD and AWD models.

The floor is very different and though I have seen on different forums that people want to upgrade a FWD to 4WD, I have never heard of anyone doing it.

If you look at the available manuals for the Q4, one thing you will see that the fuel tank is very different on the Q4, as it goes above the differential, another big difference is room for the axle and exhaust. Also the rear springs and shocks are different (shorter).

It will be MAJOR work, but if you should decide to take it on, I am sure that we all want to follow your project with huge interest :)

Well there are big structural differences, the entire lower worked body is different on the Q4 as Alfan mentioned, beginning right where the gearbox is (it intrudes into the cabin), the floor pan, and the entire rear area where you have the Viscomatic and fuel tank. I would say it's definitely not a reasonable thing to do, to even attempt a conversion. Just get yourself a nice Q4 in the first place. :mrgreen:

Then its only the exhaust and some cleaning inside the engine room to finish the project.... And the brakes need to be vented one more time. Air condition is not working but that we have to take later on. O yes plenty of other small things. Polished it yesterday just to see what is possible to do with the paint. The black paint is not bad at all, but there is some places on the gray part that have lost some paint, this I will leave as it is for now, cant spend to much money at "one" time. This cambelt change was pretty expensive, also the hose for viscomatic ect.....
