Mint beige electric Recaro interior and breaking 164 QV

Postby moynesey » Wed Oct 24, 2012 5:29 pm

I have a near mint condition beige electric Recaro interior from a 1993 164 24v QV. There are no rips, tears or wear.

The interior would include front seats, rear seats and matching door cards.

These interiors are the best option any 164 can have and we all know how rare they are, especially in beige and in this sort of condition.

Offers invited, i will email pictures on request

Ian,

Strange thing is that, two years ago when someone offered these great seats and especcially in beige, they where sold in 5 minutes. Today, times have changed drastic.
I hope you get a good price and a good new owner.

Goodluck!

Regards,

Erwin

Well they aren't going to be sold cheap, the car is far to good to break unless its worth it!!

I just ordered some head lamps for a classic Benz my friend is restoring; the weight of the package was 7.8 kg and the cost EUR 59.- (Registered air parcel post). Pretty excessive and that was even without insurance. We also ordered a 2nd hand engine; while I had done that some 8 years ago via air freight it turned out to be too expensive and was sent by container. Best is to put it in a crate and ask a freight forwarder to quote you a cubic meter price for ocean freight containerized, probably Felixstowe to Perth (on top of that the road transport cost from seller Ian to the port and the documentation costs on both ends)

Sean, i guess cost for shipping to Australia will be about 1500 euro.

I ones looked for it and private shipping by DHL would be 2200 euro, and if i ship it via my company it would be half of it.

Can't wait to put this interior in this weekend :)
It took a lot of organising to ship them to Australia from the uk (and I dragged my heels a lot during the course!)
but they will be so much nicer than the hard-as-a-rock standard seats in my '92 164Q :)
Thanks Ian !
