Replacement odometer display ribbon

Postby justhb » Sat Jul 01, 2017 7:55 am

Dear all
I need a replacement ribbon and LCD display for my 1996 3l 24v. Mine current one has deteriorated and is only partially showing the digits.
Thanks

You should be able to find info about it, if you search this site. I had mine replaced from US many years ago, so I haven't looked into the options in Europe.

Actually I'm lookin into this on mine car as well. I have found the ribbon for the display in China very cheap:

They have arrived last week and I gave them to a friend yesterday to re-solder it to my unit. I will post the results once done.

Ah, sorry, my mistake. Anyway I tried to replace it but without success - the thing is that the original one is with Mylar but this one is not - so it's impossible to attach it to firmly to the LCD glass (maybe it would be possible with the ACL but I (and noone in my surrounding) has access to this technology.

I don't recall if there is a thread about fixing the odometer display and I haven't looked into this, as it works in my Q4.

You can try using the search function here and also look at www.alfabb.com
