In German...

Maybe Obenhaus, Mike.Foxtrot or Helli can help about what's wrong...

Seems to be in good shape; even as a parts car it looks that it's worth the asking price.

From what I understand, the car was in top shape, then the timing belt has been replaced, but the timing (?) has not been set up correctly. Then he says it's a perfect car for an enthusiast or for parts. It is unclear what he means. One should probably assume that the timing belt snapped.

Although I have to say I am not a native German (I am actualy Polish located in Germany), I should have probably mentioned that in the introduction thread, which I shall fix now.

Ok thanks. Probably bent valves then. If the timing is just a bit off and can be reset it's a bargain :)

I would also suspect snapped belt and bent valves.

Didn't the price just increase? I thought it was under 2000 EUR before, but maybe I'm just mistaken.

If I had place for a donor car I would probably take it, as it's much cheaper to but the whole donor car and source the parts you need than buying them one by one on eBay or such. Unfortunately, no place to store and disassemble the car. Maybe someday...

Yes, I think when I checked yesterday it was 1,500 EUR.

Exactly.

I have contacted the seller by e-mail, so far no response.

I saw this thread only tonight.
I wanted to help with the language, but the offer is not there any more.
Sorry.
