Re: A small praise for 164/166 AR!
166 V6 diesel does not exist... at least not from Alfa factory. Diesel on 166 is R5 ALWAYS and size of 2.4. Valves on the engine either 10 or 20 but size and cylinder count always the same.

Re: putting 166 brakes in a 164?
I know of a few guys who tried it, and I will be looking to do just that as soon as my front rotors wear out :D From what I heard, you want 166 4 pot calipers and 330 mm brembo discs from GTA. The discs are 32 mm thick compared to 166's 28 mm so calipers need to be widened but still far easier and ...

Did this pressure sensor problem with too low system pressure cause that occasional 4x2 mode? Good that you had it sorted out!

Re: Alfa 164 3.0 V6 24V -94 engine transplant, fuelpump prob
Inertiaswitch (crash switch) cuts the fuel supply/power from the fuel pump on an accident. I am not 100% sure if 164 had one but GTV and 155 from the same era definitely had those switches and i have a feeling my 164 Q4 had one also but hard to remember for sure... If someone has wiring diagram for ...

I've already sold my 164 Q4 so my need for the hose is gone by now. I linked this product of yours to a Finnish Alfa Romeo bbs, there are at least 5 to 6 Q4 owners which i believe have same problems with splitted hoses (at least one has, who has my ex-Q4) http://www.alfabbs.fi/viewtopic.php?f=1&...

Those orange wires belongs to temperature sensor on the thermostat housing and black wire (ground) under the bolt under thermostat housing. I'm not sure about the green and other black wire, if i remember correctly they are from oil level sender?

Re: 3 Liter engine of Lancia Kappa versus 164 Q4
Hi Helli, you can use Kappa 3.0 engine with 164 Q4 gearbox. bolts straight in. to fit Q4 drive axle "stub" on the right hand side of the car you have to use Q4 oilfilter bracket with kappa engine. There is a small offset between these two and they don't mix :? You also have to use wiring l...

Re: Wanted: Oil cooler for 164 Q4
I am looking to have the oil cooler on my Q4 replaced, as it is leaking a little at the joints to the oil lines. Eper gives this part number 46469283 and it shows that it is the same one for all the V6's. Can anyone confirm this and if you have bought a new one, where did you get it from? Do you kn...

Do you have the original Alfatester or can you borrow one? Back on the 4x4 diagnostics again :? 4wd is working flawlessly while driving, but on idle malfunction light is on after a time period between 1 to 20 minutes. Re: 164Q4 What kind of oil in powerstering/hydralic system?
I just bought (yes, again...) reconditioned Q4 steering rack. I asked for which fluid are gaskets made for and got an answer that gaskets are the same that are used on a FWD models so recommendation is ATF. So my question is, can i use ATF without damaging Viscomatic? I think ATF won't ruin anything...
