Agreed KY2006. Mine was replaced hardly 2.5 years ago and already showing signs damage.

Hence looking at other cost effective measures ?

Hi Alfan ,part no 5 i think. The pentagon picture i put up is costing 40plus pounds equivalent in local currency. All alfa parts here seem to be overly priced as they are rare . I hear that many 164 owners modify this? as the bush (gaiter?) is very hard to find. The Q4 variant doesn't have this prob...

Anyone knows where to source for a new set of steering rack bush?(the right and left). Just changed mine 2 years ago and its already worn out.

Yes its RHD. I have checked the fuses thoroughly they seem OK...
Probably will probe the pump itself to look for damage.

Guys need some help here. My 164 12v year 91; the windshield washer pump is not working. The wiper works . Any wiring or fuse I need to inspect for fault? And if yes, where are they located? Tried looking at the guide book but can't find the location of the fuse for windshield washer pump. Many thanks

hi Shane, my car has the same problem with no sign of overheating. So I have left mine alone as I have changed the Temp sensor as well.

thanks for your input. I would prefer keeping the original qv gearbox, however looking for ways to softwn the clutch. Would changing pressure and clutch plate help?

Hi JDqv, well firstly, my favourite engine is the 3.0v12 v that i hv in my car now. The raw power delivery is good and the engine has got a beautiful sound especially on higher rpm. Having said thst, the parts are getting rare and as such, just a thought of transplanting a 2.5v6. Now why get in a 3....
