Re: Long time road going 164 Q4 1994 project

That crankshaft really does not look good. But good luck, if you will rebuild it to 3.2 it will be worth it :)

Re: gasoline pressure

This is actually quite known cause for starting problems, that the hose in the fuel tank is worn out. Unfortunately it will be only worse and worse due to quality of rubber used on new hoses now...

It can be done without pulling the middle driwe shaft :) At least on 2.0V6 - but the rest was the same :)

Re: All models-steppermotor replacement video

I have ordered the whole brand new stepper motor unit (I think it was 60610100) from Alfa dealer, they were surprisingly still available. If you won't have luck elsewhere it might be worth to try check with them. Of course it's not a cheap option :) Also, I don't remember out of top of my head, if i...

Re: All models-steppermotor replacement video

From what I remember, to take out that stepper motor without removign the dash, you need special screwdriver used originaly to tune carbouretors :)

I'm attaching two files I collected over the files related to this topic, they might be useful for you :)

Looks really good :) And the wheels suit it nicely as well - just the rears would be nice with some spacers to not be so "sunk" inside, but that's just my opinion :)

Re: 164 TB cam - part number

We all are still learning :) Ajusa is not bad, but on engine I built when checked after some time it show a bit more wear then the OE cam I had on the other head (both were installed as new at the same time, so the same oil, same new tappets, etc.). Of course there could be other factors, like sligh...

Re: 164 TB cam - part number

No, right is the rear camshaft and left is the front camshaft - you can see that by turning the engine around as it would be RWD car and the distribution belt etc. would be in front of the car :) So you should aim for the 60602874. When I was looking for one for my car, only new option was aftemarke...

Re: Alfa 164 2.0V6 TB Super (1995) - MikeCZ

Thanks, Alfan. I was looking for something else and was considering things like 75, Alfetta; some Lancia... but at the end it turned out a bit differently - I bought a classic Mini. Quite nicely restored (although some personal touch will need to be done), and though it only has 998 carburetor (some...

For ECU it is sufficient, but for the Q4 diag you will need specialized FLT diagnostic kit with modules, you won't get one new, some guys here on forum have it.

Thank's guys. A bit sadly, but today I sold my 164. Only what cheers me up is that that it found a good new owner.
Reason was only one place in garrage and I wanted to start some new project.
So today she drove away:

Re: Euro Projector Headlights Wanted

As for the trims, you need at least the trim below the light (if you did not bought the lights with it already) - red metal stripe on this photo: https://shopcar.parts/product_images/00 ... .jpg?big=1
It should be painted in the color of your body.

Re: Alfa 164 2.0V6 TB Super (1995) - MikeCZ

Some furter update. About a month ago I have pulled out the fuel pump to cleanup the pump basket. At the same time I have replaced the connectors on hoses going to the lid on the tank, as someobody demaged them - one of them was even missing the release ring, so I had to cut them out. The new connec...

Really great work! As for the gearbox mount, the one from TS fits without modifications, plug-n-play? because I when I was doing the work on my car I was not able to find the V6 mount at all... and it's only old mount in my engine bay :D

Unfortunately those are the typical "rust week points" - jacking points and the rear axle beam. Because those jack points are just welded on the flook, there's no reinforcment and when it starts to rust, you risk to get exactly such holes in the floor. That's why it's recommended not to ja...

It did. So far this event is cancelled/postponed until... who knows when. With the current situation the organization would be almost impossible and also attendance would be much lower.
So let's wait for a better times :)
