From what I remember, to take out that stepper motor without removign the dash, you need special screwdriver used originaly to tune carbouretors

For ECU it is sufficient, but for the Q4 diag you will need specialized FLT diagnostic kit with modules, you won't get one new, some guys here on forum have it.

How did you manage to pull out the original plastic stud without destroying it? I heard they're glued in and it's really difficult to do so, since if you heat them they start to melt...
