I still need to disassemble the tops, but the rest is taken apart and the crankshaft is not looking so good, but that was expected. Next step will be to find 3.2 parts for this engine.

Those sensors are not easy to find, but I believe they have been used in other Fiat and Lancia models.

Have you looked in the specific Q4 workshop manual regarding this? It should be available in the 'Manuals' section.

It seems that there is a short somewhere, so looking carefully at the electrical diagrams I think would be the next step.

Is it a brand new control unit? If so, the problem must be somewhere else in the system, as I assume that the airbag light was flashing with the old control unit? I have no idea, but believe that it is the same conctruction on all 164's, so hopefully someone have experienced this and found a solution.

Air flow sensor? Did you have any diagnostics connected to the car?

I will have to look in my archives, as it might be a Brink that was installed on my Q4 many years ago. I cannot guarantee that I have any information, though.

I don't recall if you did anything around the fuel pump, but my guess would be fuel starvation, most likely in the fuel tank. Does it also happen with a full tank?
