Re: Powder coated valve covers and intake manifold for the 164 V6 Turbo

They make a very nice pair 😎

You got a good result for the valve covers πŸ‘

Yes, that bolt size is not easy to find, I used ebay to track some down.

Re: The problem air bag

In my Q4 (driver airbag only) it is placed in the center console behind the radio, either above or below the engine ECU, so I suggest you look there for the actual number of the unit.

Re: Buying advise needed, can't get it out of my head

Welcome, Marc :) My main knowledge is on the Q4, so I am biased 8) I prefer the 24V and that is also what you have experience on, so maybe you should stick to that. The main difference between the 24V Super and QV in handling, I think is mainly down to the electrically adjustable shock absorbers - a...

Re: Hello from the United Kingdom

I have not seen any TS with 5 stud wheels (think the TD is the same), but you never know with Italian cars πŸ€

It can also have been modified, which is what I find most likely.

Re: Hello from the United Kingdom

Ok, the 5-hole wheels is not standard TS, but they do drive really well - and probably better suited as a daily driver.

Good that you are able to get the parts, so you can get behind the wheel and enjoy it!

Interesting. They do still look to be positioned quite low in the Super.

Re: Alfa164Diagnostics

Not really, but my guess is that the ECU is not working, and therefore it does not have any other fault code for indicating this, than showing that message.

I would erase the code, disconnect battery for some hours, then rerun diagnostics and see what it shows.

I have not changed the gaskets in the fuel tank, but I would guess they are the same type as in the FWD 164's. Have you checked the part numbers in ePer?

What do you mean by that, are you using another ABS pump?

Re: Recaro seats in a Q4

As I don't have those type of seats in my Q4, I don't know, but since they were available options, they must fit. Probably some spacers are needed at different locations, most likely towards the center console.

Re: Holiday drive with 164

I had the interior fan in mine replaced during the 100 Anniversary trip to Italy, as it quit completely - not good with 30 degrees outside... I cannot recall if there are any threads about it on this board, but alfabb for sure have. You might be able to lubricate some parts, but it is a sign of it d...

Re: Can someone please translate these codes 164Q4

Well, without knowing exactly how the module and the adapter were connected to the car, it is difficult to comment the error codes. Based on what the display is showign, I am guessing that the tester is not connected to the ECU. Are there any expected error codes for the Motronic on the car? I am no...

It would be helpful, if you provided photos of how you have connected things, both regarding plugs and connectors.

Otherwise, it will just be a lot of guessing.

Re: Can someone please translate these codes 164Q4

I assume you are aware that there are different diagnostic plugs in the car for the different units, e.g. Engine, 4WD, ABS ECU etc?

Since you are using MA44A, I guess it is a 1995 or later Q4?
