Re: Powder coated valve covers and intake manifold for the 164 V6 Turbo

Thanks, I do love both of them equally as each has its own perks and feel when driving. And just recently(4 days ago) I have acquired another 166 V6 Turbo for parts. It came with a spare engine. So I could now try to achieve my ultimate fantasy with the 2.0 V6. I've been thinking of going 100mm slee...

Powder coated valve covers and intake manifold for the 164 V6 Turbo

Hello fellow 164 owners. I just could not go on without sharing my newly painted valve covers. So my valve covers were looking quite old and oily. Really dirty, the intake runners were rusty and the whole engine looked quite tired because of that. So I couldn't take it anymore and decided to do some...

Re: Buying advise needed, can't get it out of my head

Welcome to the forums. With my modest experience with the 164 I would say that the 164 Q4 is the pinnacle of that model. I still remember around 10 years ago there was a 164 Q4 being sold in here for around 2500 euros. I was drooling all over it and went on to see it probably 3 or 4 times. Like the ...

Re: Bringing my 12v 164 QV back from the dead, I hope

Your car looks really beautiful. The red really sits wonderful on the 164. It kind of reminds of a red 164 with a 3.0 12v which was selling locally a few years back for next to nothing. Could've snatched it, but I hesitated. Nevertheless cool car. How did you polish the valve covers sand blast and w...

Re: 164 V6 Turbo with 4pot Brembo from 166

Thanks Alfan. A 164 V6 Turbo is a lot of fun. Had a blast travelling with it. It can hold its own to newer cars quite good. Looking at the previous posts I saw that I haven't added a picture of the drawings for the brackets. https://i.postimg.cc/4mnMkhvB/166brembo-bracket2.jpg I've sourced the brack...

Yes, I did not wanted to redrill other discs to 5x98, so just went ahead with the 305mm from the earlier 156 GTA.

164 V6 Turbo with 4pot Brembo from 166

I've been meaning post in this forum for quite a while but I've just couldn't find the time. So to give a short backstory. Around a year ago I was browsing the ads in my local forum and I've found a non-running 164 V6 Turbo with a rust free body. The guy was selling it as it is. It was non-running a...
