Hi all

I am still suffering with an issue with my Q4 ABS pump

Does anybody have a contact who might have a spare??

The car is off the road since 3 years now and I really want to fix it!!

If you believe it is the pump unit, I would suggest to have an expert look at it.

Otherwise Ed Alfist is my best suggestion for a spare unit.

For me it’s definitely the Electronic module that is the issue

So any help would be appreciated finding a functioning part or suggestions on who may be able to look at it with a view to repair

I saw earlier this week on FB that Ed has more Q4's, so might be worth contacting him again.

I had all sorts of weird issues with mine, in the Marelli tester it came up as faulty ABS module. Long story short, the culprit was a bad contact on the main ABS fuse. Be sure to check that out!

The module itself, besides a possibility to physically separate from the pump (6-pin plug), is NOT openable. When you don't know what's what, it's extremely easy to damage the fragile wires inside. The PCB itself is also covered in gel, and is very rarely the culprit.

I suggest to first check the main fuse (consult tech drawings, main was under the hood bolted to the bulkhead, it's the G416 60A main supply fuse for the ABS), then check the connectors (main loom to the ABS unit, and 6-pin to the pump), then check the 6 wires leading from the connector on the ABS module to the ABS pump (in mine one wire was stripped from rubbing on the pump body).

Check those threads for more details:

It should do the trick. Best of luck!

Hi, i have one 0 265 204 006 numbered completed NOS unit for sale in ebay. I am not sure if it fits Q4 but to other 164 models it does.

I don't recall the number, but am quite sure that it is different because of the 4WD.

It is a however a good price for your unit 👍

It's beautiful and if it only was Q4 compatible I would probably snag it :D Sadly, as Alfan said, Q4 has a dedicated module 0 265 204 007, later substituted by 0 265 204 008.

Latest on my issue is, I had the module rebuilt and now the ABS light will go out with the ignition on and the engine running
The 60a fuse is fine and 14v either side and there is 12v to the main input connector to the block on pins 1(ignition on) 2 ( direct from battery and pin 3 ABS warning when ignition is on, hence the light goes out - but the problem I now have is that the ABS light remains on when the ignition is off but goes out when 12v applied to pos 1 in the main 25 pos ecu connector which is the wire to the warning lamp. So should there be a 12v feed permanently to the warning lamp on this connector like the 4 pos main connector to the module?

I am also trying to find the ABS fuse box location which is numbered as G125 in the ABS wiring diagram. There is supposed to be a 10amp fuse here but I cannot find its location to check this

G125 should be on the firewall on driver side if I remember correct.

Not sure about G125, however the main ABS fuse G416 is located on the firewall, driver side. It's a 60A fuse. I seem to remember the wiring diagram was, how to say this, not very precise, so take it with a grain of salt.

Can you share more on how exactly was your ABS module rebuilt?
