That's one of the reasons why we made this forum/site. But I think it's hard to gain some figures abouth the Q4's today.

Hy Guys, I now this is an old topic but I think you where talking about my car and I now recently find out about this site...

I live in Paraguay and we (my father and I) are the owner of some alfas in wich you can count a white 66 spider and the described 164 Q4.

There are some other 164 Q4 around here, I can remember another red just like mine, a burgundy red (completly red), a very rare blue one, 2 white ones and the one on the link posted here. Some of them where very badly taken care off because of the droping price on these cars around here... Mine has under 50k km and we try to keep it flawless...

Welcome :)

Same here with the pop up. I can see in another thread that someone else did not get his comments on the board until months after writing it... :?:

BTW, there is one (that I know of) Q4 tucked away in a garage, in the capital of Lithuania. Also, a few years go I've seen an add for a red Q4 in Estonia - unfortunately I don't know it's fate, but hopefully some local enthusiast got his hands on it :)

I can get a count from the Japanese club there if you want me to?

The Japanese do have a strong following for the 164, but I haven't seen too many pics of Q4 exposed among the other 164s. Until recently: a fellow member from France (david20-100) had bought a perfect example from there, which means one car less from the "around 10" number.

Yesterday I got an order for a Q4 intake hose from Saitamaken, Japan - so that confirms, at least one drivable Q4 example is still alive in Japan.

On a recent quest seeking some sort of formal confirmation about the production numbers, I have asked Centro Documentazione Museo Alfa Romeo via email how many 164 Q4s have been sold in total. This is the answer I've recently received, I think it may be very interesting to all members here:
As a generic reference, kindly note that from the statistics production we conserve n. 1373 units were produced between 1993 and 1997.

Referring to the MVS 164 453 1 n.963 units were produced.

We wish you a lovely day

A case of Alfa pulling a "Ferrari F40 production number" stunt?

I don't fully understand this discrepancy either, but it seems to have some solid basis as they do quote build count per engine version.

What they mention with "MVS 164 453 1" seems to be 963 out of the total number of 1373 cars with the engine version M6 according to ePER (there was also an M7 marked as CEE F2).

That would give 963 M6 and 410 M7 variants in total.

Hello, I know i'm a bit late with my information, but there's one Q4 in Bulgaria and my dad owns it. It is black with a black leather interior and overall I have close to no history of previous owners, only thing we know is that it has done 200 000km and has been shipped from Switzerland before. Another one is in Romania. Belongs to a friend of mine. I'm adding a few photos of our 164 for you to look at.. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of the other one.

Is there a site for a global search?
If there is I would be very thankful if you can post it here. To be more specific, I'm looking for some background on our Q4.
Cheers, Alfisti!
