164 Q4 engine rebuild help needed!

Hi guys,

I'm in process of rebuild my 164 Q4 engine after cambelt failure so I need an advice which engine can server as donor.
I want to use my old engine block but take heads, pistons, liners and valves from the donor. Which engine could it be? I guess 164 QV with engine code 64304 should be fine but any more variants? Thanks a lot for any help.

I think all the 24v 6 cilinder engines will do.

Hi, Indeed you can take a 164 Super 24v motor, the components you quote are the same.

Thanks for your help. Can you point me out any 164 used parts suppliers or breakers? I don't need the engine block itself really, just parts.

I have a 24v QV engine, it must be rebuild. exept the big pipes the engine is complete, the cams and cover from one side have been removed by a former owner.
