Can someone please translate these codes 164Q4

Post by pauliecarzz »

Hi
My scanner reads in Spanish, was hoping someone can tell me what these codes read. which Sensor is the scanner reading? See pics below
Is there anyway to flash code the Q4
I know the Q was accessible by stepping on the gas pedal 5 times.
Thanks
Paul

I have attached the Marelli module content for the 4WD, but it is in German. I hope you can use that to decode the Spanish text.

Hmm I appreciate the help! Not sure I know what I'm looking for. I have a Funny feeling it's one of the Knock sensors that's giving a code.

So which Marelli module are giving you these codes? I would assume it is not MA12A for 4WD.

I assume you are aware that there are different diagnostic plugs in the car for the different units, e.g. Engine, 4WD, ABS ECU etc?

Since you are using MA44A, I guess it is a 1995 or later Q4?

It would be helpful, if you provided photos of how you have connected things, both regarding plugs and connectors.

Otherwise, it will just be a lot of guessing.

I'm relaying the info through my mechanic, Not sure what you mean... he connected the scanner to the car and used the MA44A Motronic Module which gave the codes.
he is asking if there is any way to get flash codes out of the Q4?

Well, without knowing exactly how the module and the adapter were connected to the car, it is difficult to comment the error codes. Based on what the display is showign, I am guessing that the tester is not connected to the ECU.

Are there any expected error codes for the Motronic on the car?

I am not aware, if it is possible to get flash codes for the Q4 or Super/LS in general, I have never tried that.

I will get you some photos of the connections.
he did mention that he thinks that one bank is running lean at idle and the O2 sensor is going out of range.

easier to use my software here )alfa164diagnostics) on the forum or multiecuscan.
both much easier to use than the old tester.
