Hi all
The last few days I have been working on adapting the 166 calipers. I have used 330mm GTA discs:

The 166 calipers required modification in order to work with the 32mm wide discs. Fortunately, specially kits were available on the Internet which allowed me to widen the calipers easily.

I had to planing the calipers slightly so that the discs did not rub:

Special adapters are needed, so I had to determine the center distances:

After 6 tests, I finally had the ideal spacing. I use small 8mm shims for the centering of the calipers:

A little painting before the final assembly :)

I will gradually test the braking power but despite the lack of break-in, it already seems to me to brake very well :)

Looks really good :) And the wheels suit it nicely as well - just the rears would be nice with some spacers to not be so "sunk" inside, but that's just my opinion :)

Thank you Mike :) indeed I need spacers at the rears, it currently has small 5mm shims but more is needed .. in a few weeks the car will have a complete QV kit so the spacers will be mandatory

You have one of the best 164 Super - and now you announce to mount a QV kit <8-0

In my opion you should really rethink to do it. Moreover your car has the wrong colour for that.

I also have this reflection because I find it so beautiful now, I'm afraid of being disappointed once the kit is installed .. I like the finesse of the Super version.
I could always go back if i didn't like it.

Finally I gave up the idea of the kit on my Super .. The QV elements will allow me to complete the QV look on the green 164. There will be a specific project for her soon :D
