Hello all,
I've recently purchased an Alfa Romeo 164 Super (3.0 v6 24v). My dad previously owned 2 supers and over the years I've always wanted to get my own.
The unit i got is a 1994 model, condition is 90% original however I am looking into a full stock restoration on this car. Would need some assistance as the wiring has some issue because the previous owner has done some home engineering to it. Please guide me to set up the wiring of the fan back to original.
The current set up runs the fan as soon as I turn on the ignition, i would like to restore it where by it runs only when activated by the thermostat or the pressure sensor that activated speed 1 (relay I99) or speed 2 (I100). However i have no clue how to trace where they have spliced and connected it.
The second issue I am facing is that the whole dashboard lights to go off as well as the functionality of the gauges, is this a separate issue due to grounding or is it sending mix signals to the ECU because of the fan current set up?
I hope someone here can help me out on this would be great. Thank you in advance.
