No time, no see. My fault definitely.
Have had a very interesting phone conversation with "Fasani" lately about my Blindata". A really nice person, although I know him for so little time, I feel very close to him. I would surpass several potential buyers for my 164, in order for him to find money and have a smooth and gentle deal together. I am sure that he has explained to all of you, that my 18,000 kms Blindata cannot be registered here in my country for another 9 years...she has to rest herself in my private garage, new and unmolested among my other classic Alfas!
A significant number of potential new owners for her have visited me, but I had great difficulty to find one of my kind and taste!!! You see, I am not a car salesman, I am a classic car enthusiast and fortunately or not I judge people from their heart and not from their pocket...Alfisti who have visited my Blindata so far, did not have the "heart" for her...they only wanted to take her with stupid bargaining, although they know that it is unique just the way it is...
As far as "The Miura S Sales by Coy's concept" my friend "AlfaEast" has arisen, it is a very strange situation, since there is a lot of "hidden" history behind this car. My father told me that he had never sold this VIN numbered Miura S to anyone that had been in contact with him those days...Maybe this car has been imported into Greece from another person...he does not remember this particular "Maroon - Brown" color either...and the Vin plate is re-rivetted with different screws...ooohhhh, so many details, so difficult cars to cope with...Miura "S" is a real beauty of course, but very very difficult car...in every aspect!!!
From my father's personal collection I have the "Instruzioni Tecniche" Manual for Miura P400 S in totally new, unmolested, never used and fully authentic condition. Language is Italian of course exhibiting Hand-written format from Ferruccio's Engineers and Year is 1969.It has brass-pinned binding, with original pseudo-leather-ish cover from Factory.
Due to its firm pinned - binding, it is very difficult to "free" the pages and produce any photocopies. That is why it is a unique Factory Literature Production, that was only given to Authorized Lamborghini Workshops of the era. Not to clients, not to dealers and of course not to "no-name" mechanics. A real literature masterpiece!!! Unfortunately, we have given our last Miura in 1978, but we still have splendid and original literature of Ferruccio's robust era...
Hope all you have enjoyed my visit. Do not forget me and my nice country, which is trying hard to meet all its difficulties.
And most of all : do not forget my "Blindata", a really unique piece of Alfa Manufacturing.
